You want comfortable, stylish clothing, or a cute tote, or a pillow. You like hilarity, meaningfulness, or simply creative design. You want to wear something that tells the world who you are, what you think, and at the very least, that makes someone smile.
I wear this shirt because I like the idea that, if someone reads it in passing, maybe their day will get better—even if it’s just a little bit better. Maybe it will help them with a problem they are having, or they will find it easier to be kind or forgive.
Nice, clean designs always get my attention, but I prefer to wear more than a design. I like statements, especially those that seem to mean little on the surface, until they’re bounced around in the brain a bit. It’s always fun to watch someone do a double-take on my shirt and then smile as the subtle message sinks in.
Life is full of layers. One minute you’re up, and the next minute, boom. My design style is full of layers, along with a commentary on its effects on us. “Let that shit go.” I say it daily. Ok, hourly. Sometimes it’s all I say. Even my anxiety has layers.
