We love our designers and creatives because, well, without them, no shirts. We would be just an empty site, selling a bunch of nothingness into the void. But, like the creators they claim to be, they create and we exist. So, like a baby imprints on a mama, we are gaga over them. But they are more than just their phenomenal designs. We aren’t just using them for their hot pixel work! No, no. We love them for who they are.
But we aren’t entirely selfish people, so we are going to let you meet them here. First up, Danielle Murray, Senior Art Director by day, Maker of Makey Things, B (or even C, let’s be real)-Loving Zombie Movie Watcher, and Mom of a Pug by night.
What do you like to do when you’re not designing T-shirts?
I have a small business creating small-batch, handmade bags and pouches. It’s a fabulous mix of creative, not-in-front-of-a-computer, tactile, trend-finding, shopping, budgeting, exhibiting, promoting and branding. Everything that goes into that, is my happiness.
What are you wearing?
Jammies! Hooray for working from home!
3 Best Things in the world. Go!
1. My Hubbs 2. My Pug 3. My Fabric Stash.
1 Worst Thing in the world. Go!
I LITERALLY cannot choose between misogyny and laziness…ack
What is your favorite design word?
Approved.
What is your favorite sound?
The sound of thick hair being cut with super-sharp scissors. I wanna bite that sound. So texture-y…
What is the last movie you watched that you would rave to friends about?
Which is your favorite Cloth and Pixel design?
People Are The Worst. I heart subversive cross stitch 🙂
If you need a reason to heart her, check out her Christmas card circa 2010 (or as the card says…2010?):
See that? That there’s a creative. Don’t you go falling in love with her!
